I am a former newspaper reporter now working in higher-ed communications for Smith College. In my journalism career, I worked for daily, monthly and alt-weekly news outlets, writing stories about the environment, health care and education -- among other topics. At Smith, I have written profiles of student leaders and alums, stories about classroom teaching and research, town/gown initiatives and only-at-Smith feature stories. I am interested in how and why we tell stories in a rapidly changing media environment, and how we can communicate in ways that more effectively advance our mission.
